Leave the handwritten report behind with Teq's Digital Lab Reports course! Learn how to create top-notch interactive lab reports using a variety of collaborative tools in order to enhance your students work and strengthen their understanding..

3D Printing: Modeling Geometric Shapes in Tinkercad

3D Printing is becoming increasingly popular in education, and for good reason. The process of creating a print from start to finish addresses many important standards students need to become 21st Century Citizens, for instance, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving as outlined in the 21st Century Framework and Common Core standard MP4: Model with Mathematics. Join us as we define the design process in the context of a classroom and dive into the beginning steps: planning and designing a 3D Print. By the end of this session, you will have the knowledge and steps needed to start a lesson on modeling geometric shapes with  an easy to use design tool, Tinkercad!

Measurements and Unit Conversions in Google Earth

Join us to learn all about using the built-in measurement tools in Google Earth. We'll discuss specific uses of these in classroom relevant situations so you can provide real-world applications to the Measurement and Data standards across grades levels!

Labdisc: Measuring UV Light

Have you ever wondered what is the BEST sunscreen and SPF number to protect you from the intense UV light given off by the sun? In this course, we will measure the effectiveness of various SPF ratings for sunblocks using the labdisc. You will need an Enviro labdisc to perform this activity. Our curriculum specialists will show you how to set up your Labdisc, conduct an experiment, collect data, and manipulate the data all within the Labdisc - Globilab sofrware. Join us to learn one of the many engaging uses of Labdisc in the science classroom!

Labdisc: Solubility

In this course we'll look at just one of the many applications of a Labdisc in the Chemistry classroom. You can use any Labdisc to perform this activity. Our Curriculum Specialists will show you how to conduct an experiment to identify temperature's influence on a substance's solubility using the temperature probe provided with your Labdisc. They will then show you how to analyze and manipulate the data within the Globilab software as well as extensions you could bring to your classroom!

Labdisc: Heart Rate

In this course we'll look at just one of the many applications of a Labdisc in the Biology classroom. You will need a BioChem Labdisc to perform this activity. Our Curriculum Specialists will show you how to conduct an experiment to measure heart rate using the heart rate sensor provided with your Labdisc. They will then show you how to analyze and manipulate the data within the Labdisc software.

Labdisc - pH of Beverages

In this course we'll look at another classroom use of Labdiscs. You will need either an enviro, general science, or biochem Labdisc to perform this activity. We will be predicting the pH of various household beverages and then measure the pH with more accuracy using the Labdisc. We will then analyze and manipulate the data of the acidity of different beverages within the Labdisc software.

Labdisc - Sound Waves

In this course we'll look at another classroom use of Labdiscs. We'll be analyzing sounds and their waves, calculating their frequencies, and then trying to determine an unknown frequency. This requires either a gensci or physio Labdisc.

Creating Digital Lab Notebooks with Elements

Sharing experiment results is an important step in the scientific process. Perkin Elmer, a known leader in laboratory technology has a platform that helps bring the scientific process into the 21st century classroom with cloud-based sharing and collaboration. Elements enables your students to gather and collaborate on lab content through a web browser, eliminating the need for software installation and managing licenses. See how this powerful tool can change your lab culture. Sign up for a free account here, prior to the class.
