Robotic Recycling Challenge

Measuring the pH of Beverages Using Labdisc

In this course we'll look at another classroom use of Labdiscs. You will need either an enviro, general science, or biochem Labdisc to perform this activity. We will be predicting the pH of various household beverages and then measure the pH with more accuracy using the Labdisc. We will then analyze and manipulate the data of the acidity of different beverages within the Labdisc software.

Labdisc: Measuring UV Light

Have you ever wondered what is the BEST sunscreen and SPF number to protect you from the intense UV light given off by the sun? In this course, we will measure the effectiveness of various SPF ratings for sunblocks using the labdisc.You will need an Enviro labdisc to perform this activity. Our curriculum specialists will show you how to set up your Labdisc, conduct an experiment, collect data, and manipulate the data all within the Labdisc - Globilab sofrware.
