Robotic Recycling Challenge

Project based learning activities involving robotics are fun and engaging for students and teachers alike. They can also involve a lot of consumable resources to put together. Why not be kind to our Earth and transform trash into an exciting robotic creation? In this course, we'll highlight recycled materials students can use as they plan and build their robots, as well as how to responsibly clean up after the project is complete. Whether you're looking for a project to do for Earth Day or are just trying to make your classroom more environmentally friendly, you'll find exciting tips and tricks to make our Earth a better place.

Measuring the pH of Beverages Using Labdisc

In this course we'll look at another classroom use of Labdiscs. You will need either an enviro, general science, or biochem Labdisc to perform this activity. We will be predicting the pH of various household beverages and then measure the pH with more accuracy using the Labdisc. We will then analyze and manipulate the data of the acidity of different beverages within the Labdisc software.

Having Students Show Work with Screencastify

Every math teacher knows the struggle to get students to show their work, and remote and hybrid learning have only made this task more difficult. Screencastify can be a solution for teachers to visually assess students' thinking while completing a math problem. In this session, we'll demonstrate how to use Screencastify to show student work.
