Gamifying Civics

Michelle Blanchet, author of Preventing Polarization: 50 Strategies to Teach Kids about Empathy, Politics, and Civic Responsibility, will join us to discuss how we might use games to bridge the gap between SEL and civic engagement. We'll discuss gamification in the classroom as well as some activities and games that will take civics lessons to the next level while supporting students' social-emotional needs. As residents of a local school district, you have the right to vote how school budgets are enumerated and spent.
