The purpose of a chart is to visualize data in a way that accurately represents the story a dataset is telling. Google Hangouts

Google Forms

Google Forms is one of the core G Suite apps. It is a multipurpose tool that allows administrators, teachers, and students an easy way to collect and organize information, big or small. Google Forms: Quizzes

Who says quizzes can only be taken with pen and paper?  Teachers can now create assessments within Google Forms to allow students to complete tasks at their own pace.  In this session, our PD specialists will demonstrate how this feature allows teachers to see a summary of results to determine individual students’ or the whole class’ comprehension level.  In addition, we will discuss how teachers can determine what information is made visible to students upon completion. 

Age of Exploration with Google Tours

Join us for another session of Teq Online PD as we use Google Earth Tours to recreate the routes of three famous explorations in History: Columbus’s journey to the new world, Lewis and Clark's quest for westward expansion, and Amelia Earhart's brave flight around the world! This course will show you how to add content to tours with voiceovers, and pop-up balloons. Google Sheets Functions

Google Sheets Functions are cell formulas that manipulate and calculate data. See how you can use Google Functions in your classroom to quickly split and sort data, calculate weighted averages with survey data, and add images to spreadsheets. You will also learn how Sheets Functions can be used to create usernames, passwords, or emails for class websites!

In this course, we will highlight some of the more advanced features of Google Earth to enhance curriculum connections. Google Apps - Calendar Basics

During this first session on Google Calendar we will discuss the basics of using Calendar in the classroom. We will focus our time on creating events and how to add details to our events such as maps, hangouts and guests.

Google Apps - Digital Workflow with Google Drive

In this session we will focus on ways in which you can utilize all of these apps together to create an interactive classroom environment. We will discuss ways to streamline classroom workflow by using the apps together and modeling features of sharing and collaboration. We will also cover ways for students to use the Google apps suite as a comprehensive and differentiated way to demonstrate their understanding.

Google Apps - Docs

In this session of Docs we will discuss how to create a Google Doc and add content. We’ll show you how to share documents using a variety of access levels including publishing to the web. We will also discuss how to use collaboration options such as revision history and comments in classroom relevant situations. Finally we will demonstrate the benefits of using pre-made templates and how to create your own.

Google Apps - Drive Basics

During this session we will introduce participants to the basics of Drive. We’ll discuss how to upload content into your Drive account and how to convert those documents to Google apps format. Participants will also learn how to view files, in particular video files, and how to connect apps to their Drive account to view a variety of 3rd party files.

In this advanced session of Gmail we will discuss organization of contacts and groups. We will focus on sharing and collaboration through Google Groups and Hangouts in relevant classroom situations. Google Apps - Gmail Basics

During this first session on Gmail, we will discuss the basics of using Gmail in the classroom. We will discuss how to organize your inbox and messages by setting inbox types, marking important messages and applying filters. We’ll also discuss other key features for organization, including the To Do list and Tasks.
