Going Green for Earth Day: Creating a Paperless Classroom

How big is your carbon footprint? This can easily be calculated with electric and water bills, measuring the amount of time and energy we use during our daily activities (such as driving a car or disposing of waste - anything causing greenhouse gas emissions), and utilizing a free carbon footprint calculator on the web. Now, have you ever wondered how long your paper trail is? If so, come celebrate Earth Day with our curriculum specialists as we take you through an environmentally friendly themed lesson you can use in your classroom by going green! Think before you print and let's create a paperless classroom activity together! We'll introduce you to an Earth Day lesson to bring awareness and demonstrate support for environmental protection by modeling a paperless workflow. Go green!

Age of Exploration with Google Tours

Join us for another session of Teq Online PD as we use Google Earth Tours to recreate the routes of three famous explorations in History: Columbus’s journey to the new world, Lewis and Clark's quest for westward expansion, and Amelia Earhart's brave flight around the world! This course will show you how to add content to tours with voiceovers, and pop-up balloons. Our goal with this course is to leave you with a tool and activity you can use and implement in the classroom immediately. Don’t forget to tune in live so you can ask questions in our chatbox!
