Social Emotional Learning with Storyboards

Do you have a student who is frequently becoming frustrated with what seems like simple tasks and isn't sure how to act in general social situations? Join our Curriculum Specialists and Teddy as we take a look at creating and implementing Storyboards in your classroom.  Storyboards help students develop skills to combat difficulties throughout the day while incorporating different components of social emotional learning techniques in a safe environment.  Learning how Teddy reacts in difficult situations gives students the necessary tools to get through their own day with less frustrations and difficulties.

Clerical Applications: Docs

Join us for our last session in our Clerical Applications Series where we will be focusing on Gsuite Docs. Our Curriculum Specialists will show you how to format your documents, create and edit headings and templates, export and import documents, utilize revision history and the research tool, import fonts, take advantage of keyboard shortcuts, and some of the useful editing and sharing settings within Docs. 

Clerical Applications: G Suite

Recently Google made some changes to their naming convention. Join us for our third session in our Clerical Applications Series as we discuss with you the changes to Gsuite and the various ways that Slides, Drive, and Sheets can help you with your day to day tasks. 

Clerical Applications: Excel

Join us for our second session of our Clerical Applications Series! In our first session we focused on Microsoft Word and in this session we will be working with Microsoft Excel. Our Curriculum Specialists will show you how to customize the Excel interface, format text and numbers, utilize templates, perform basic calculations using applicable functions, utilize editing and sharing settings, and some more general tips to maximize the usefulness of Excel for your staff.

Going Further with Programming: Hour of Code Edition Part 2

Its Hour of Code Week! Todays course will be a continuation of our Hour of Code Series. Join us to continue to learn about programming using applications beyond those provided by Code.org. In this course we will dive into some of the resources we provided in our first course to help you take your students deeper into the applications of computer programming. 

iOS 10

In this course, the PD team will explore the most effective and exciting features iOS 10 has to offer!  Released in September 2016, the iOS 10 operating system is sure to help teachers create an engaging learning environment for their students.  Updates to notifications and live broadcasting options within apps are some of the biggest changes that users will come to understand better after participating in this session!

Going Further with Programming: Hour of Code Edition Part 1

Hour of code is a global movement aimed to expose as many students to coding as possible. This December you can volunteer to organize an hour of code for your school. In the introduction of this series we walked you through the basics of orgainizing your own Hour of Code.
