Welcome to the introductory session of the Artificial Intelligence micro-credential! In this first session, we will introduce you to the individual sessions and the overall progression of this series. We will also cover the protocols for moving forward in each course, including exploring the various assignments and independent practices required for completing this micro-credential. MC: AI Literacy & Instruction - Session 2 - Fundamentals

In the second session of our Artificial Intelligence micro-credential, we will cover the fundamentals of AI. We will explore the meaning of the term, as well as the past, present, and future of artificial intelligence. This session will lay the foundation for the remaining courses in this series.

MC: AI Literacy & Instruction - Session 3 - Responsible Use

Now that we understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, we’ll take a closer look at some of the ethical considerations and key strategies for responsibly utilizing AI. This course will focus on AI literacy, best practices for security, how to identify safe tools, and teaching students about digital citizenship in the context of artificial intelligence.

MC: AI Literacy & Instruction - Session 4 - Essential Skills

With a fundamental understanding of artificial intelligence and knowledge of how to use AI responsibly, we’ll move on to the essential skills required for effectively using AI in an educational environment. In the fourth session of this micro-credential series, we will learn strategies for prompting AI to generate ideas and content. We will also explore the bias that artificial intelligence may exhibit and the importance of acknowledging bias when using this technology tool.

MC: AI Literacy & Instruction - Session 5 - Planning

In session five of the AI micro-credential, we will focus on the practical applications of using artificial intelligence to enhance teachers' instructional practice. We will focus on utilizing AI for lesson planning, differentiation, scaffolding, and designing cross-curricular connections.

MC: AI Literacy & Instruction - Session 6 - Assessments

Following our course on planning with artificial intelligence, we'll dive into AI assessment tools. Session six of this micro-credential will focus on designing assessments for classroom usage, as well as how to use AI for providing student feedback. We will also explore how AI can facilitate data-driven decision-making to support students.
