Digital Storytelling with iMovie OS X

With digital tools at our fingertips, we can create and tell our stories instantly including personal narratives, explanations of a process, and retelling of events from another point of view. When teachers build digital storytelling into their instruction, students are engaged in a creative learning experience that is strongly connected with reading, writing, and speaking across the curriculum. In this course, well explore the digital tools that make it easy to get started. This session will use iMovie for the Mavericks OS X.

Using Microsoft Teams for Remote Learning

Using Google Meet for Remote Learning

Looking for a way to get some face-to-face time remotely? Google Meet has you covered! In this course we will take you through setting up a Google Meet and go over some different strategies for how to use this tool for remote learning for your class.

Using Zoom for Remote Instruction

In this course you'll learn some of the basic features within the Zoom video conferencing platform and how you can potentially use it as a tool for remote learning. 

Culture Show and Tell

Students will highlight an aspect of their culture and present it to their peers using an online video platform. They can highlight something personal (as in something unique to their family that is currently practiced), ancestral (passed down generation to generation), or cultural (something celebrated by people of their ethnicity, religions, race, etc.).  Through this, they will celebrate what is unique to their own culture as well as celebrate and learn about the cultures of their peers.
