Weather Watching Activities for Groundhog Day

Every year, we celebrate Groundhog Day and look forward to finding out if spring is coming or if we’ll have six more weeks of winter. In this session, we will dive into the history of Groundhog Day and then explore some more science-based weather concepts. We'll discuss activities that can provide students with the opportunity to track weather data and make predictions about whether or not the Groundhog will "see its shadow." Join us for a Groundhog Day celebration with a science twist!

Veterans Day Activities for Elementary Students

Veterans Day is a chance for students to learn about and honor individuals who have served or are currently serving in the military. As educators, it is our job to teach students about this important day, while also providing them with opportunities to show appreciation for veterans. Join us for this session, where we will explore age-appropriate strategies for teaching students about Veterans Day as well as ready-to-go printable and digital activities. We will also dive into conversation prompts and applicable literature to get your students engaged and involved on this important day!
