Input: Code, Output: Mobile App
In this hands-on session, you will learn how your students can input code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to see an amazing and instant output (their very own interactive mobile app) with MAD-learn. You will also learn how to integrate coding with AI in your classroom and experience a few fun, unplugged coding activities. Join this session to learn how coding and workforce skills are inherently connected and how experiences, such as building mobile apps using the six-step design thinking process, can help develop, enhance, and augment these skills.

In this hands-on session, participants will learn how coding apps and workforce skills are inherently connected. Most businesses agree that soft skills are equally or more important than technical skills, specifically problem-solving and communication. Experiences like building a mobile app can help develop, enhance, and augment these skills. Using the six-step design thinking process, educators will build their own apps and build interest in computer science for students as early as elementary school. Additionally, educators will lay the foundation for vital and transferable skills that students will need in their education, careers, and beyond.
